Handcrafted in the USA

In 1988 my wife Liz and I started to refinish furniture part time which we did for five years. Then we started to build small plant stands, benches and book cases until we were contacted by a company called The Lazy Lawyer.

They were looking for someone to build higher end stand up desks. Eventually we started building them using solid Walnut, Cherry and Curly Maple. We made them for five years until they retired.

Shortly after, I started playing guitar after being away from it for twenty eight years. I began looking for a new quality guitar only to find most of them were made over seas. Then I decided I would make my own guitar made with solid wood and parts all from the USA.

Today, we at Colby Guitar have a team of hand picked professionals with over 35 years in the guitar industry and together we have created an exceptional guitar handcrafted and 100% made in the USA.
